Published Monday 24th February 2020 We   are   disappointed   to   announce   that   Martyn   Phillips   has   stood   down   from   the   Clubs   committee   and   his   role   as Director of Football. Martyn   joined   the   Committee   twelve   months   ago   and   has   helped   steer   the   Club   in   the   right   direction   over   that   period   as   a   number   of   behind   the   scenes   changes have been made. Upon   announcing   his   decision   he   said:   “It’s   with   sadness   I   am   having   to   resign   from   my   post   of   Director   of   Football   with   the   club   due   to   personal   circumstances. In   my   short   time   with   the   club   we   have   made   huge   strides   forward   in   developing   the   club   and   its   approach   for   the   future   longer   term.   I   am   very   confident   that   this will   continue   and   keep   moving   in   the   right   direction   ensuring   football   for   all   for   many   years   to   come.   I   shall   look   to   return   in   the   future   in   some   capacity. Thank   you for   the   opportunity   to   influence   the   change   it   has   been   a   pleasant   journey   with   difficult   decisions   having   to   be   made   but   the   right   ones.   I   am   remaining   as   a   player for the club for the remainder of the season”. We thank Martyn for his superb efforts in difficult circumstances and look forward to welcoming him back to the Clubs Committee in the future.
