Published Sunday 23rd February 2020 Due to the two recent storms and a car accident there has been significant damage caused to Aberaman Park. Storms   Ciara   and   Dennis   were   first   up   causing   damage   to   the   dugouts,   the   roof   of   the   Club   and   the   external   fencing.      All   of   which   have   already   been   repaired and patched up making the ground useable again. Unfortunately,   the   storms   caused   further   damage   with   two   of   the   floodlighting   control   boxes   being   destroyed   by   the   high   winds   and   the   electrics   being   fully exposed to the weather. Until these can be fully repaired and then checked by our electrical contractor we will be unable to play under lights. With   that   in   mind   the   game   last   Friday   against AFC   Porth   was   postponed,   despite   attempts   to   move   the   game   to   the   Saturday,   and   next   Friday’s   game   against Ynysygerwn has now been pushed back to the Saturday (29th February, kick off 2pm). We thank Ynysgerwyn for their help in moving the game. We will provide further updates on future games when the contractors have assessed all the damage. Just   when   we   thought   the   storms   had   passed   we   were   then   hit   with   a   further   issue.      Late   on Tuesday   evening/Wednesday   morning   a   car   left   the   road   outside   the ground and collided with the walling/railing in the car park.  This   has   caused   significant   damage   and   is   being   checked   by   a   structural   engineer   as   this   is   a   retaining   wall.      The   entire   top   structure   needs   to   be   replaced   and we are now awaiting a report on the full wall as well as awaiting correspondence from the drivers insurance company while the police are aware of the incident. The   area   has   been   cordoned   off   therefore   please   take   care   when   using   the   facilities   at   the   ground   and   please   ensure   you   consider   where   you   park   to   ensure there is room for people to move freely from the facilities. Any   further   information   will   be   announced   in   due   course   and   let’s   hope   that   is   the   end   of   the   bad   luck   off   the   pitch   at   a   time   where   we   should   be   focusing   fully   on our perilous position on the pitch itself.
