ATFC given life saving equipment by LMS
Sadly   Jon   Harding   and   Joe   Regan   have   both   decided   to   leave   the   Club   following   approaches   from   two   other Clubs. Striker   Harding   joined   the   Club   towards   the   end   of   the   2019/20   season   which   was   curtailed   early   due   to   the   COVID pandemic   but   stayed   with   Aber   despite   the   upheavel   of   almost   the   entire   squad   departing.      Jon   departs   to   Caerphilly Athletic who play in Division One of the South Wales Alliance League. Goalkeeper   Joe   Regan   signed   for   Aberdare   last   year   in   the   season   that   never   took   place   and   was   formerly   with   Barry Town   United.      Despite   several   offers   from   elsewhere   he   stuck   with Aber   for   this   season   but   after   only   three   games   has decided to make the switch to our opening day opponents Cardiff Corries. We wish both players all the best for the future and thank them for their efforts while with the Club. Meanwhile   coming   back   to   the   Club   is   striker   Adam   Jones   who   played   for   us   during   our   relegation   season   in   the   old Welsh   League   Division   Two   before   moving   on   to   Caldicot   Town.   He   has   previously   played   for   Newport   City,   Dinas Powys, AFC Porth, Bridgend Street and Merthyr Town. Speaking   on   his   return   Terry   Fitzpatrick   said:   “I’ve   worked   with Adam   previously   when   he   was   here   last   time   and   I   know what   he   has   got   in   his   game   which   will   only   add   to   our   attacking   options.      He   has   played   at   decent   levels   and   with   some good clubs and will also hopefully help our younger players”. We welcome Adam back to Aberaman Park and hope he enjoys his second spell with thhe Club.
