Aberdare
Town
are
delighted
to
announce
that
Joe
Montgormery
has
agreed
to
take
on
the
role
of
manager
of
our women’s team.
Joe
recently
moved
to
the
area
and
has
many
years
coaching
experience
and
over
eight
years
managerial
seasons
in
England under his belt including starting a team from scratch.
He
met
with
the
squad
over
the
last
week
taking
the
last
two
training
sessions
where
he
impressed
the
squad
with
his
outlook.
Speaking
on
his
appointment
Joe
said:
“I
was
impressed
with
what
I
saw
in
training
and
I
want
to
produce
a
good
structure
within
the
team
and
a
plan
of
action
on
increasing
numbers
and
build
the
squad
up
so
that
we,
as
a
Club,
can
make sure that we have a good reputation both locally and throughout Welsh football”.
“What
is
apparent
is
there
is
a
great
team
spirit
and
buzz
with
the
squad
and
a
real
togetherness
-
if
we
can
get
more
local
people
interested
in
what
we
are
trying
to
do
it
will
help
boost
those
numbers
and
also
it
would
be
great
to
see
more
people
come
down
and
watch
the
team
as
well
-
playing
at
Aberaman
Park,
which
is
a
great
facility
and
one
we
should
all be proud off, is a real selling point”
“Another
important
aspect
will
be
to
keep
building
the
foundations
within
our
mini
and
junior
section
so
that
there
is
always
a
steady
stream
of
players
coming
through
each
year.
I
am
delighted
to
have
been
given
the
chance
to
join
Aberdare
Town
and
I
am
looking
forward
to
the
challenge
ahead,
I
have
already
been
made
to
feel
so
welcome
by
Ian
the General Manager and David the Club Secretary”
Everybody at the Club offers a warm welcome to Joe, his wife Maria and their family.
