The Bar will be closed from Monday 29th April through to and including Friday 3rd May in order for second phase of our refurbishment to be undertaken. The latest scheduled works that are aimed to be completed over this period include: Disabled persons toilet There will be a larger facility provided that will also include the appropriate alarm system installed and with scope in the future to also add a baby changing unit. Gents toilet The gents toilet is set to be relocated to the main foyer area which will mean all the facilities are then in the same area of the building. Alterations to the main entrance doors The main entrance door will be relocated to be further into the building which will give us the ability to form a compliant entrance way for anybody in a wheelchair or with a pram/buggy as a ramp will be added in due course. Skittle alley Our existing skittle alley will be moved further down towards the wall and the existing stage will be removed. However this will mean the temporary removal of the darts board until phase three is undertaken. TV systems There will be an increase in the amount of screens within the building along with advertising screens added. Kitchen extension The existing kitchen area will be extended to provide more space so in future this can be utilised properly and not just used for hot drinks as it is at present. All the refurbishment works will not be costing any club funds as materials have kindly been donated by sponsors and also donations of labour from both club officials and sponsors - namely RC Electrical. WHATS NEXT?? This is the main phase of our refurbishment programme and in the future we will be relocating the bar (which will mean the moving of the main screen), an additional dart board and works to the car parks and entrances into the ground as we continue to ensure we have the best facilities in the area and will mean more opportunities for people to use The Bar. We would like to thank everybody for their patience while the works are undertaken but we hope to be fully back up and running for Saturday 4 May for a private party and then it will be ready for all our mini and junior teams presentations.
