Aberdare Town can confirm that manager Kellan Webb has stepped down. After taking on the job at Christmas he had an unenviable task of trying to steady the ship following several departures from the playing squad after the team had slipped down the table. Despite several new faces arriving we were unable to field the same squad two weeks running and the team were relegated on the last day of the season - not for the want of effort and commitment on Kell’s behalf. On the decision Kell said: “I would like to wish the Club all the best for the future and hope success is not far away, but with relegation I feel that it is in the best interests of the Club for somebody local to take on the job and to bring things back together. Whoever takes it on will be coming into a well run Club with so much hard work going on behind the scenes that people don’t know or give credit for. “I have really enjoyed my time at the Club and thank you to the supporters, sponsors and committee for the welcome and support - I will always keep an eye on what is going on”. Kell had two spells with the Club and made 85 appearances for the team since his debut back in 2022. We would like to place on record our sincerest thanks to Kellan for his commitment and efforts while with the Club and wish him well for the future - he will always be welcome back at Aberdare Town.
