Girls Football
We
have
a
thriving
mini
and
junior
football
section
for
both
boys
and
girls
where
children
from
the
age
of
5
are
welcome to join and have fun.
We
are
an
all
inclusive
Club
and
all
children
are
encouraged
to
get
involved
with
the
club
and
there
are
regular
family
events
organised.
The
emphasis
on
all
of
our
teams
is
for
the
children
to
enjoy
playing
and
to
have
as
much
game
time
as
possible.
Each
coach
/
volunteer
is
DBS
checked
and
every
team
has
at
least
1
qualified
Football
Leader
with
them
at
all
times.
There will also be a qualified first aider in attendance.
New
starters
are
always
welcome.
The
annual
cost
to
be
a
playing
member
(which
includes
all
training
and
matches)
is
£70.

Code of Conduct
It is important for everybody involved within the Club at all levels to ensure that they are representing Aberdare
Town and themselves in the right way.
Players
•
Encourage, support and co-operate with my team mates
•
Not to bully or make anyone feel sad or unhappy
•
Show respect and fair play to my opponents – shaking their hands at the end of a game
•
Play within the rules of the game, not to cheat or waste time
•
Respect my coach/manager and listen to what my coach/manager tells me
•
Respect officials and accept all decisions without question and shake their hands at the end of the game
•
Not to make nasty comments about a team mate, another player/team or coach/manager on any website or social
networking site.

Tell my Club Safeguarding Officer or someone I trust if I feel unhappy, uncomfortable or concerned about anything

Show exemplary behaviour by respecting match officials, opposition players, coaches, managers and spectators
•
Treat all players equally by supporting and motivating all players
•
Give all players, whatever their ability, the chance to play
•
Accept that striving to win is more important than winning itself
•
Always pursue fair play – adhere to the laws and the spirit of the game
•
Encourage players to accept responsibility for their own performance and behaviour
•
Never to engage or tolerate any form of bullying
•
Never abuse or misuse any relationship of trust or position of power
•
Display high standards, behave responsibly and never engage in or tolerate the use of foul, abusive, insulting or
inappropriate words, behaviour or gestures
•
Get Behind the Line and not enter the field of play without prior permission from referee
•
Ensure the enjoyment, safety and welfare of a child under my supervision is considered paramount at all times
•
Record any allegations, accidents or incidents and refer to designated person
•
Organise activities appropriate to the players’ ability level, age and maturity
•
Appreciate all efforts and not to over-train the players
•
Ensure that coaching sessions are fun, well-structured and focus on developing skill, decision – making and
understanding of the game
•
Respect and listen to the opinions of children
•
Refrain from smoking or drinking alcohol during club activities or training sessions
•
Be aware of the FAW Safeguarding Policy, Procedures & Practices and observe the responsibilities involved,
including the FAW Communication guidelines
•
Not to make inappropriate comments about another player, coach, official, spectator or volunteer on any website or
social networking site which may bring the game into disrepute
