Aberdare Town are proud to confirm that Carwyn Speck has been named as the RCT Sport Volunteer of the Month for May. Carwyn undertakes several roles within the Club including running the Under 12s and Under 16s sides in the Cynon Rhondda Merthyr Junior Football League, mini football secretary, lead coach of Kickers, registrations secretary and part of our maintenance team for the Easy Panels Stadium. When the news was announced General Manager, Ian Pearce said of the award: “Carwyn has played a large part in our off-field work this season taking on two admin roles as well as his coaching commitments and being part of our maintenance team - anybody who has come to the Easy Panels Stadium over the last year will no doubt have seen the work we have done to improve the facilities within The Bar. “We are indebted to all of our volunteers within the club, both administrative and coaches as without all these people freely giving up their time every week we wouldn’t have a club so I would like to place on record my thanks to not only Carwyn but all those throughout Aberdare Town and would urge anybody who wants to get involved to get in touch so you can bePARTofIT!” Congratulations Carwyn and thank you.
