Development through fun football
Kickers was launched in July 2023 by the Club as it was
felt there was a local need for a football provision for
children under the age of six.
The
Football
Association
of
Wales
only
organises
football
for
those
in
the
under
6s
age
group
so
by
introducing
Kickers
it
gives
children
a
head
start
of
training
and
fun
games
before
moving
into
mini
football.
Our sessions are informal and designed for children to have fun as our primary aim. However,
with our coaches we help develop basic skills, team work and social inclusion.
Each session is grouped into ages so the children in your time slot will all be of a similar age, and likely you will see
some of their school friends too!
As each age group gets older we introduce more skills and the attributes they will need when they start playing
against other teams in mini football.
The earlier age groups include parent participation to help their little ones but as they get older you will be able to
sit back and just enjoy watching them play and giving plenty of encouragement from the sides.
What do you do?
All of our sessions are held indoors so no worries of it being called off because of bad weather!
We have exclusive use of Dare Community Sports Hall for our sessions each weekend, there is plenty of parking
although on busy sessions if parking on the road please be mindful and think of the local residents.

Where is it?
It is very easy to register your interest in signing your child up to our sessions.
Just send an email to IAN on kickers@aberdaretownfc.co.uk and include your child’s date of birth.
We will get back to you as soon as possible and confirm which session you will be in. Please do not just turn up to
sessions as it may be the wrong age group.

Here are some of the testimonials we have had from families.
My little boy absolutely loves Kickers! We have been going for two years and learn something new every session. The
team are amazing and give their all to the children every week. Such a fun way to get my son to socialise with children of
his own age, doing something he loves with great coaches. Thank you.”
Shauna
“I would like to say a massive thank you to Kickers for bringing on my sons ability on the ball and for the interaction with
other toddlers and the coaches. It has helped his confidence no end,”
Haley
“Watching him develop and having such fun during the sessions is so good to see. I have seen a massive difference in
him and all done by people doing this in their own free time. Thank you”

DISCLAIMER
Please note that we have no affiliation to the franchise business ‘Little Kickers’. We are independently run as part of
Aberdare Town Football Club
Each session will be led by a fully FAW qualified coach.
We ensure that every session has a qualified coach who also has a first aid certificate. Coaches are helped by
younger members of the Club who are just starting to coach and we are always looking for other people to get
involved who want to start on their coaching pathway, or even to help in the administration and development of
the project. If you are interested please get in touch with IAN on kickers@aberdaretownfc.co.uk
Who runs it?
It helps us keep the costs low for families and you will receive
plenty of publicity.
