A glorious afternoon saw Aberdare have the chance to avenge an earlier defeat to visitors Cwrt Rawlin but again fell short with a 2-4 loss. After the immaculate 1 minute silence for Remembrance weekend, early home attacks and free kicks towards the Town end come to nothing. 12 minutes saw Player of the Match Alex Jacklin do well to thwart an away attack at the expense of a fruitless corner. The quarter-hour saw a Macauley Morgan cross from the left just evade Will De Sousa and on 19 minutes the visitors took the lead when, after blocks from 'keeper Kellan Webb and his defence the ball was eventually knocked home. Within 5 minutes it was 2-0 as a left wing cross was headed home at the far post. De Sousa soon had a good break down Aber's right but there was no end product from the resulting corner. The half-hour mark saw an Elliott Hewings ball from wide on the left defeat everyone as Morgan challenged the Cwrt 'keeper to create a 1-2 score-line. A Jack Salmon cross soon gave Morgan a chance which was thwarted but right on half-time Kai Davies could not continue to be replaced by Southern Rowlands. 50 minutes saw the away side hit Aber's crossbar but within another 5 a left side corner was not cleared, resulting in a left side drive into the net for 3-1. Just past the hour Liam John and Mason Howells were introduced to the fray and within 4 minutes the latter latched onto a ball but drove wide. On 69 minutes a Jacklin free kick from well inside his own half saw Howells attempt stopped by the away custodian but he followed up to make it 2-3. A decisive moment came immediately as Aber's call for an offside decision was denied allowing their guests to easily net for 4-2. Aberdare manager Kevin Davies and Hadley Taylor were also introduced from the bench but no further efforts of note were forthcoming. There could be no doubt that the away side were superior in most facets of the contest, having not lost an away league game this season. Saturday 15th November sees a chance for redemption as Aber travel to Heolgerrig Red Lion for a 2.00 start Team: Kellan Webb, Cai Mckenzie, Elliott Hewings, Alex Jacklin, Callum Tandy, Jack Salmon (Liam John), Kai Davies (Southern Rowlands), Cam Walker (Hadley Taylor), Mac Morgan, Cam Sage (Mason Howells), Will de Sousa (Kevin Davies) Subs not used: Ceri Jones Player of the Match: Alex Jacklin Match Sponsor: Mr Bob Price
