An important fixture at Llanrumney on the Cardiff University 3G complex saw a second successive 1-5 defeat for Aberdare. A return to the starting 11 for Callum Tandy also saw Player Manager Kellan Webb in the number 1 shirt. A windy and rainy afternoon saw the only Division 1 East game to take place. A fifth minute Jacob Blake free kick saw the home 'keeper parry the effort away. The eleventh minute saw a home flick-on blazed over and Aber were later not punished when conceding possession unnecessarily. A 32nd minute Cai McKenzie attempt went just past the far post and the half finished goalless. A 50th minute home effort from the edge of the box was well blocked by the Aber defence. The away contingent were happy on 55 minutes as a home hand-ball gave Blake the opportunity to put Aber 1-0 up when converting the resulting penalty. However, within 2 minutes a home attack was not cleared for an easy equaliser. The hour saw the hosts go 2-1 ahead when netting from close range with the home scorer seemingly offside but nothing given by the referee. A 65th minute cross from Southern Rowlands was hit over the bar by Jackson Barker which would have levelled the match. It became a laboured afternoon for all concerned with the guests as another error on 68 minutes saw the hosts go 3-1 ahead from an easy finish. A free-kick on 73 minutes was rifled in for Llanrumney from just outside the penalty area for 4-1 before a turgid afternoon for the visitors was capped in added time as another comfortable attack and finish saw the final 5-1 score-line. Team: Kellan Webb, Jackson Barker, Elliott Hewings, Joseph White, Callum Tandy, Alex Jacklin, Hadley Taylor (Southern Rowlands), Oscar Din (Jack Salmon), Jacob Blake (Harri Evans), Cai Mackenzie, Mason Howells (Lewis Reed), Subs not used: Jayden Hopkins Player of the Match: -
