Aberdare Town are pleased to announce that Jordan Price has been confirmed as our new manager ahead of the 2026/27 season. Jordan joins us having completed a remarkable last playing season as a striker with Pentwynmawr Athletic in the Gwent League scoring over 50 times and has had playing experience with clubs such as Aberbargoed Buds, Treowen Stars, FC Tredegar and Abertillery Bluebirds. This marks his first job as a senior manager having had ambitions of taking his place in the dugout and with the Club having a full re-set within the senior team, following our relegation to the Aberdare Valley Football League, we are delighted to give him that opportunity to help us rebuild. After being confirmed in the role Jordan was looking forward to getting started and has already been busy talking to players: “I’d like to thank the Board for giving me this opportunity and trusting me, it’s an honour and I won’t take it lightly. It is going to be challenging but it is a challenge I am up for and I am looking forward to building something special here, at a club with such a long history, and bringing through local talent. “Hopefully we will see a good turn out in the stand on matchdays because I can promise that we will fight for the badge and leave everything out on the pitch. That is the type of player I want at Aberdare and I have already had successful talks with several new faces and will be looking forward to seeing more when we start training this week - anybody from the local area who wants to be part of something brand new then the door is open”. On Jordan’s appointment, Club Secretary Carwyn Speck said: “We were impressed with Jordan’s vision and how he sees how things should be done and it aligns with the Club perfectly. His enthusiasm for wanting to meet with us and being given the chance to manage this rebuild, with a clean slate and with the full backing of the Board, was evident to see and we look forward to what we all hope will be a successful season. “We have a fantastic youth and junior set-up with some great youngsters and over the next few years we are sure that more and more local players, who have come up through the Club, will be given the chances they deserve as we look to fully develop every part of Aberdare Town - it isn’t going to be an overnight change but it will happen”. With almost all of last season’s squad opting to move on it gives Jordan the chance to build a new squad and anybody interested in being part of the new set-up are encouraged to attend training on Thursday 18 June at 6.30pm.
