We are thrilled to announce the launch of our new Under 5s team! The team will be run by Dan Norris and its initial launch and registration day will be on Sunday 10 May at the Easy Panels Stadium at 10.30am. On the day we will be able to answer any of your questions. A new training kit (exactly the same as the senior teams) will also be available. Our brand new Under 6s team, which will be managed by Elon Lee, will also be holding a session on the same day! Both teams have graduated from our highly successful Kickers scheme and we can’t wait to see the development of both of our new teams. Speaking of the new move for the under 5’s Dan announced on his Stronger Fitter Together socials: “I loved it when the club first started the Kickers programme and it was a breakthrough in the area too as when I was around that age you had to be 7 to even train to play mini football so Aberdare putting something on from the age of 1 was amazing to give them an opportunity to learn and dream. “Last year I started helping out doing warm-ups as they needed somebody who could actually out-run the kids!! After coming back from a holiday, Ian (Pearce - General Manager) asked would I be interested in managing the team when the time was right. Two of the little rascals asked would I please coach them so I couldn’t really say no, could I? He definitely set me up! “Seeing how so many of them have come on, not just in football, including the social side is just heartwarming.
